Most Americans don't know that an unfortunate part of the horse population is inhumanely shipped across U.S. borders and slaughtered for human consumption. The meat is then shipped abroad to be served as a delicacy in foreign restaurants. Freedom Hill Horse Rescue does not support this practice and works hard to stop U.S. horses from being shipped for slaughter. We purchase horses from Killer buyers that sell horses for slaughter. We go to Capital Hill and work side by side with other dedicated citizens and humane groups to support legislation to end the shipping of U.S. horses across our borders for the purpose of slaughter.
